Dear AFS students and host parents,
We are excited to host the AFS students who signed up for the Ashland AFS International weekend Feb. 4 – Feb. 7, 2010.
The arrangements for free bus transportation from Duluth/Iron River to Ashland are as follows.
Please be at Perkins West at 40th Ave W. /Duluth by 5:00 PM on Thurs. Feb. 4th.
The bus will stop at the Sundown Cafe in Maple at approximately 5:30.
Please email Mary Durward or call to let her know if you will be riding the bus or if you have transportation questions.
(Including students not riding the bus) All AFS Students will meet/be picked up by their Ashland host families at the Ashland High School commons at approximately 7:00 PM Thurs..
All meals and activity fees will be provided by the Ashland AFS chapter. You might want to bring spending money for possible bowling, skiing, or extra snacks.
Please plan on bringing warm clothes for outside activities. Our Saturday night activity is an all-night lock-in at the high school. You might want to bring a sleeping bag for that night. If you happen to have rollerblades, bring them along.
Our weekend concludes at 8:00 AM on Sunday February 7. We will serve breakfast prior to departure. The bus will leave at 8:00 AM for Duluth/Superior. The bus will stop at the Sundown Cafe and Perkins West (about 10 am) for drop offs. If you are not traveling on the bus your family should pick you up in the Ashland High School Commons at 8:00 AM Sunday.
